“For a self-proclaimed nerd like me, it's fantastic to be involved in development projects that'll create brand new knowledge of pollutants and purification methods."
My job
Without wanting to sound too high and mighty, it takes a real effort to secure our supply of clean drinking water for the future. And that’s what I’m working on. To be precise, I investigate contaminated sites in Denmark to determine whether they should be cleaned out. One of the largest projects I’ve been part of was the investigation of Høfde 42, south of Thyborøn, where Cheminova dumped bulks of toxic waste many years ago.
Time for development projects
Besides my usual consultancy projects, I have been involved in several development projects over the past year. These projects will create brand new knowledge of potential pollutants from waste grounds, new purification methods and models for dispersal of pollution. For a self-proclaimed nerd like me, it’s a golden opportunity, because it allows for absorption and thorough study.
