Consultant of the Year, Project of the Decade and the Sustainability Award

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the Ground Engineering Awards celebrate the very best in geotechnical engineering in the UK. To mark the occasion a “project of the decade” award was launched based on the previous 10 winners, and we were delighted to see Queensferry Crossing taking the prize. Our work on Europe’s largest wetlands, in Walthamstow north London, picked up the prestigious Sustainability Project of the Year and to cap a great evening we were named Ground Engineering’s Consultant of the Year.

Mohsen Vaziri who leads our Geotechnical Team said “This is fantastic recognition for the talented people in our geotechnical and environment & health practices. We relish the challenge of designing the foundations for some of the world’s most prestigious projects and enjoy collaborating with the wider geotechnical community to contribute to the advancement of best practice in our industry."

ACE’s Technology Champion of the Year

Across London the Association of Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) gathered for their annual award ceremony where Ramboll collected the Technology Champion of the Year award, based on our Transformation through Digital Design submission. The award recognises how we have brought and combined new techniques front of house, to deliver compressed project schedules and giving clients access to critical information in the early stages of projects, empowering them to take informed decisions that shape the project.

It was also a busy day for Mathew Riley, MD of Ramboll in the UK who is this year’s ACE Chair as he enjoyed a productive day at the ACE Skills Summit before speaking at the ACE’s award ceremony.

Fingers crossed for the forthcoming BCI Awards

The award season continues apace and we keep our fingers firmly crossed for success at the coveted British Construction Industry Awards. We are hugely proud of our projects that have been shortlisted:
